Nnenna Lynch who has over 15 years of experience in housing and real estate. Nnenna’s background as a developer is a personal one. She grew up watching New York City’s housing stock deteriorate in the 1980s. She studied sociology at Villanova and anthropology at Oxford where she was a Rhodes Scholar. Her Master’s thesis, for which she did her own research, was on teens who chose homelessness over living with their families. When she returned to New York, she immersed herself in developing affordable housing as both a private developer and as a public employee. As Senior Advisor to Mayor Bloomberg, she oversaw the Atlantic Yards Project, the Hunts Point Produce Market, and the Coney Island re-zoning. She has a deep understanding of housing from both the developer and the city’s point of view. As head of Development at Georgetown Company, Nnenna oversaw almost $2B worth of development. In total, she has helped to plan and create approximately 2250 units of affordable housing throughout the city.
